House Vote 104 – S. 146: TAKE IT DOWN Act – Passage. April 28, 2025. Passage of the bill that would make it a federal crime to knowingly publish non-consensual intimate imagery of other persons, including such imagery generated by artificial intelligence. It would require social media and other websites to take action to remove such content within 48 hours of receiving a notice from a victim. Penalties under the bill for those convicted of such crimes would include fines, up to three years imprisonment, and payment of restitution to victims. PASSED 409-2: R 207-2; D 202-0. NAPO SUPPORTED

House Vote 128 – H.R. 2243: LEOSA Reform Act – Passage. May 14, 2025. Passage of the bill that would amend current law on the transport of firearms to allow qualified active and retired law enforcement officers to conceal carry firearms and ammunition, including magazines, across state lines. It would permit such officers to conceal carry in several places, including into school zones; national parks; certain federal facilities that are open to the public; state, local or private property that is open to the public; and onto all public modes of transportation except airlines. It would require qualified retired law enforcement officers to meet the firearm training standards during the most recent 12-month period or, at the option of their state of residence, a period that does not exceed 36 months. To conceal carry firearms, the bill would require the officers to have met the standards for qualification in firearm training established by the agency that previously employed the officer or as required in the state in which the former officer resides. House Vote 131 – H.R. 2240: Improving Law Enforcement Safety and Wellness Through Data Act – Passage. May 15, 2025. Passage of the bill that would require the Justice Department, within 270 days of the bill?s enactment, to provide the congressional judiciary committees with a report that details attacks that have occurred on law enforcement officers, along with reports on expanding current reporting systems to include more information regarding attacks on police and on the mental health impacts of such attacks, and the mental health resources currently available to law enforcement officers. Passed 403-11: R 213-0; D 190-11. NAPO SUPPORTED

House Vote 162 – H.R. 2096: Protecting Our Nation’s Capital Emergency Act – Passage. June 10, 2025. Passage of the bill that would restore the rights of Washington, D.C. police officers to collectively bargain on disciplinary matters, which was barred by a 2023 D.C. police accountability and transparency law. It also would reinstate a 90-day deadline for the D.C. police department to begin any disciplinary procedures against an officer and would repeal the police chief’s authority under the 2023 law to increase disciplinary actions against an officer proposed by a police trial board. Passed 235-178: R 205-4; D 30-174. NAPO SUPPORTED
